Fire at Bangladeshi madrasa in Philadelphia

Madrasah "Siratul Jannah Center" managed by Bangladeshi, located at 7735 Castor Avenue in North East, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, caught fire yesterday at 9 pm on Monday. As soon as the fire broke out, it was possible to quickly bring the fire under control because the fire service was called. There were no casualties as the entire building was empty at the time of the fire. Since the incident, the fire service and the police are conducting a detailed investigation into the matter. So far the madrasa authorities have not received the investigation report. Due to the fire, the structure of the madrasah has suffered a lot of damage.

Meanwhile, Siratul Jannah Center authorities have temporarily closed all activities at their main building until further orders. It includes all classes including daily prayers, full-time and part-time. In a special announcement today, authorities said their full-time classes will be held at the adjacent Northeast Philadelphia Islamic Center on Tyson Avenue, and part-time classes will begin virtually tomorrow.

The authorities of "Siratul Jannah Center" requested everyone to pray for the Madrasa.
